Rubber Materials Details

Tubes Material:

(1). The stator tube options include low carbon steel and stainless steel ,

(2). Special materials: 316L, 904L, and CD4MCu dual phase stainless steel ,which can operate at temperatures as high as 150 degrees 
 

The material of stator my company commonly used: 

Rubber: NBR;  EPDM;  FPM;  SI

Stator shell: Q235; SUS304; SUS316L

(1). The center part of the screw pump is composed of rotor and stator. Screw rotors are usually made of metallic materials and are made into unique twist angles through special cutting machines. A special structure consisting of a steel rotor and an elastic stator makes it capable of conveying materials containing solid particles.

(2). The rotor is placed in the stator, sealed together in a helical structure. When the rotor rotates, the internal continuity of the stator is running, the liquid in the closed space runs continuously, conveying out from the suction side of the "No pulsation" and "quantitative" transmission.The outer thread and the thread of the rotor are made according to the special processing;

Material of rotor

Carbon steel, stainless steel, SS304, SS316L,904L etc.

The material of rotor my company commonly used: 40Cr, Cr12mov,SS304, SS316L, 2205 and 904L

(1). The connecting Rod Group consists of connecting rod, universal joint,coupling rod, guide bush, rubber rings, and a rubber sheath, connecting rod pin, retaining sleeve,steel wire rings, drive shaft, etc.

(2). The connecting Rod Group is in addition to withstanding not only the force of drive shaft, but also to bear the force of its own swinging longitudinal and transverse, the size and direction of these forces are cyclical, so the connecting rods are subjected to alternating loads such as compression and stretching.The size and direction of these forces are cyclical, so the connecting rods are subjected to force of compression, stretching and so on.

(3). The coupling rod must have sufficient fatigue strength and structural stiffness. If the fatigue strength is insufficient, it will lead to break the connecting rod body or connecting rod interface, and then produce the major accident whole machine damage.

(4). If the rigidity of the connecting rod is not enough, it will cause the bending deformation of the rod body and the universal joint, resulting in the eccentric grinding of the coupling rod, guide bush, thecoupling rod bush, etc.

Function of connecting rod:

The connecting rod is used to connect the drive shaft and the rotor , and transmit the actuator force to the rotor, thus driving the rotor to rotate the motion. According to the requirements of the media, the joint shaft can be installed with a broken bridge aid flow device

Material of connecting rod:

The main damage form of the connecting rod is fatigue fracture and excessive deformation. Generally, the fatigue fracture area is three high stress areas on the connecting rod. The working condition of the connecting rod requires that the connecting rod has high strength and anti-fatigue performance, and it also requires sufficient rigidity and toughness. Traditionally, the materials used in the process of connecting rod are 304, 316L, 40Cr, 2Cr13, 2205, 904L and so on.

The material of coupling rod we commonly used :

SUS304 ;  SUS316;  2Cr13, 40Cr, 2205 , 904L etc.

(1). Drive shaft is the part for connecting and assembling various accessories, and turning cylindrical object parts.

(2). The drive shaft is composed of a shaft tube, rubber sheath, seal and a universal joint .

(3). The screw pump drive shaft is the drive power transmission to the coupling rod, thus driving the rotor rotation. Several components are connected by a universal joint or a flexible shaft.

(4). The drive shaft material has 304, 316L, 40Cr, 2Cr13, 2205, 904L, also needs to make the adjustment qualityor surface treatment of hard chromium .

Screw pump drive shaft common sense:

(1). The overall layout of the screw pump determines the dimensions of the drive shaft and their range of change. If the drive shaft is damaged, worn, deformed, and loses its dynamic balance, will cause abnormal sound and vibration in the running screw pump,When serious, it can cause the related parts to be damaged,So the rationality of the drive shaft design will directly affect lifetime of universal joint assembly and drive shaft, and efficiency of universal drive and stability of screw pump operation

(2). To usedrive shafts along with different drive products, the surrounding work environment is more complex, such as temperature, humidity, water, steam, dust, sand, oil, acid, alkali, corrosive medium, saline, radiation and other conditions, these are important factors to be considered when selecting the drive shaft 

(3). The drive shaft is a rotating body with a high rotational speed and less support, it’s dynamic balance is very important.In general, the drive shaft before the factory to carry out a dynamic balancing test, need to adjust on the balance machine.

Non-assembly mechanical seals

(1). To assemble mechanical seal static component into the pump cavity gland.

(2). When the mechanical seal using V-ring structure, in the installation of special attention to its V-shaped openings must face the medium (or sealing fluid) pressure direction.

(3). The mechanical seal components set on the pump shaft (also must make the V-type openings facing the pressure direction) according to the model specification to determine the position of the spring seat and according to the requirements of the adjustment, so that the spring pressure to meet the design requirements. thus ensuring the normal working pressure of the sealing surface. Tighten the screws evenly.

(4). The installation of one-way rotation (that is, the loop or hook spring transmission) mechanical seals, especially attention to the spring rotation, its rotation should be the same as the axis rotation direction, so that the spring more tightly. From the mechanical seal to the end of the static ring to see, to determine the rotation direction of the axis, clockwise direction for the right, counterclockwise direction for the left rotation

Second, operation and precautions

(1). Mechanical seals was absolutely not allowed dry turn ,the pump must be fully vented before the device starts, so that the media is filled with sealed cavities before the device can be opened.

(2). The operation of equipment should strictly follow the following procedures:

(3). Before the equipment operation, should start flushing water, 5 minutes later, start the mainframe;

(4). If you do not open flushing water, will lead to sealing surface dry friction, high temperature, seal ring burnout and seal ring coking, which will lead to complete failure of the seal. The phenomenon is more prominent in the two-terminal and multi-faceted structures.

(5). In the operation of equipment, should always check whether the flushing water is unblocked, pressure to meet the requirements;During operation, flushing water cannot be interrupted or stopped.

(6). Tthe best way to operate the pump is continuous work,If you must stop, you should rinse the backflow sediments from the pipes and pump cavities.If the equipment is to be stopped, it must be shut down for 5 minutes before the flushing water can be turned off.

The main alloying elements in stainless steel is Cr , only when the Cr content reaches a certain number, the steel is corrosion resistance . Therefore, the stainless steel general Cr (chromium) content is 10.5% at least. Stainless steel also contains Ni, Ti, Mn, N, Nb, Mo, Si, Cu and other elements. Stainless steel corrosion resistance decreases with the increase of carbon content, therefore, the majority of stainless steel carbon content is lower, the maximum is not more than 1.2%, some steel Wc (carbon content) or even less than 0.03% (such as 00Cr12).

The material of  Holding Band  my company commonly used :

SUS304;  SUS316L

The function is to support the shaft, avoid grinding of direct drive shaft and coupling rod, Reduce the damage on the drive shaft and a shaft coupling device, play a protective effect, and make the shaft composite rotary motion in the bushing.

Bushing can not only reduce the wear, vibration and noise of equipment, and has the effect of corrosion prevention. It can also facilitate the maintenance of mechanical equipment, simplify the structure and manufacturing process of equipment

Commonly used materials are 45 steel, 40Cr alloy steel, medium carbon steel, bearing steel GCr15 and spring steel 65Mn, as well as 20CrMoTi, 20Mn2B, 20Cr, etc.

Design and application of screw pump bushing
